The Rahul Dravid led Bangalore Royal Challengers has a good mixture of youth and experience. On one hand it has players who have been tried and tested in the international arena for years now with Dravid, Kumble,Kallis,Boucher etc.. And on the other hand there is the rush and exuberence of youth with the likes of Taylor, White, Kohli,Kumar etc..
The trump card for the Challengers will be Misbah, who has proved his metal in the Twenty 20 World Cup in South Africa. He bats according to the situation and can clear the fence with ease. The next most interesting batsman would be the under 19 world cup winning captain Virat Kohli who has shown good temprament and class in the U-19 world cup.
With the likes of Mark Boucher and Jacques Kallis in their side no wonder the challengers boast of being the second best side on paper after the Knight Riders. The bowling department is also quite potent with experience of Kumble, Bracken, Joshi, Khan and with some young bowlers like Praveen Kumar, Abdur Razzak, Dale Steyn etc..
In the T20 format the all-rounders hold the key and with a side that has about 6 allrounders it looks good for the challengers to take command of things if they get off to a good start.
