IPL faces Media boycott..

We had earlier seen the BCCI come out with some stupid media restrictions that had the media come up in arms. Later after a long discussion with Sports Journalists’ Federation of India (SJFI) and sports editors of mainline dailies BCCI decided to ease out the norms but these norms are still harsh and definitely against the media privileges. BCCI is now facing a near-boycott of IPL by the international media as well as PTI.
The Editors of the newspapers are really up against it this time, with the Hindu, in an editorial reporting “Greed and arrogance and a total lack of common sense seem to be driving the IPL along a path of confrontation, which will surely bring on a media boycott.” Now, the BCCI surels needs the media to help it drive ticket and merchandise sales, but the BCCI seems stupid enough not to have realised this and have heavily depended upon SONY and their Website!! Well i still do not understand the BCCI!! With only 4 days more to go for IPL to kick start i just hope everything is taken care of..
